Clear answers for firms evaluating Altamont.

How your work is scoped, which providers touch it, and what gets logged — stated plainly, without claims we can’t stand behind.

Data handling

Altamont scopes workspace data to the organization in the signed-in user’s Clerk session. Matters, documents, chats, drafts, and billing status are queried with that organization scope, so workspace actions stay within the firm’s workspace. Ask about our current DPA and data-handling terms for details specific to your firm.

AI providers

Altamont supports Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT models for document chat and drafting. Data handling with those providers is governed through the applicable provider agreements and DPAs; your firm can review those terms as part of its own compliance process.

Redaction

PII detection can be run automatically or reviewed before redaction is applied. Attorneys can also use the manual viewer to select text and build a custom redaction list, giving them a review path for document-specific decisions.

Audit logging

Altamont logs document access and actions, including uploads, views, downloads, deletions, and redactions. It also records AI queries, draft activity, matter changes, and permission changes so the workspace has a reviewable activity record.
